Last year when he played for the first time at the Eurobuild tennis tournament he caused something of a sensation when he beat all his rivals. Even then, Krzysztof Stempień of Cresa fearlessly faced a strong field, many of whom were regular faces at the tournament, to turn the ranking table on its head.
Last Friday, Krzysztof, now the top seed, defeated Bartosz Hys of Techno Art Serwis i Arranżacje 6:1 in the final of the 15th Eurobuild CEE Annual Tennis Tournament, and thus won the competition for the second year in a row. He proved to be in the form of his life and his technique was as sensational as ever. Architect Grzegorz Czaus and Anton Bashtavy of Centerscape Investments Poland also performed excellently in the singles, finishing joint-third. And in addition to winning the men’s singles, Krzysztof Stempień also took home the trophy for winning the men’s doubles along with his doubles partner Filip Bojdo of Omikron Capital.
We would like to thank all the winners and players, as well as all the spectators and everyone else who attended for taking part!
The Eurobuild CEE tournament is for amateur players, but the level of the competition rises each year, while the final matches are fought even more fiercely than ever. What hasn’t changed is the high quality of the event and the immense enjoyment had by everyone on the day. Find out for yourself next year!
